Bhuma Nagi Reddy Laid To Rest In Shobha Ghat

Amaravati: The last rites of Nandyal legislator Bhuma Nagi Reddy were performed with state honor at Shoba Nagi Reddy Ghat at Allagadda in Kurnool district on Monday evening.

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Ministers and a host of leaders paid tributes to the departed leader.

The final journey of Bhuma Nagi Reddy began at 3 pm from his residence in Allagadda and his mortal remains were cremated with complete State honors. Kurnool District Collector Vijaya Mohan made all the arrangements.

Bhuma’s son Jagatvikhyat Reddy lit the funeral pyre as daughters MLA Akhilapriya and Mounikapriya, political leaders from various parties and thousands of his followers bade a final farewell to the departed leader.

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Speaker Kodela Sivaprasad, Ministers and MLAs attended the funeral.

Meanwhile, AP budget which was scheduled on Monday has been deferred due to MLA’s death. The legislature has declared a holiday following Bhuma Nagi Reddy’s death. It is learnt that the budget would be presented on either March 15 or 16.
