Bhuma family faces uncomfortable questions in Nandyal campaign trail

Election campaign can be grueling and can be back-breaking. But, for Bhuma Brahmananda Reddy, who has been fielded as the TDP candidate in the Nandyal by-election, it is also proving to be heart-breaking.

Bhuma Brahmanand Reddy, who thought winning the bypolls would be a cakewalk, is finding the going tough. He has launched an Ashirwad Yatra along with his cousin and Tourism Minister Bhuma Akhila Priya in Nandyal. But, he is finding that the people are asking uncomfortable questions and are administering shock after shock. They are finding it difficult to explain why they left the YSRCP and joined the TDP.

The other day, an old woman, instead of blessing Brahmananda Reddy, asked him point blank as to why he defected to the TDP. She asked him as to why she should vote for the ‘Cycle’ (TDP election symbol). All those around her backed her. Brahmananda is finding that women voters are more assertive and are posing uncomfortable queries. Even in the supposedly strong Bhuma strongholds, the people are telling him that they would vote for YSRCP candidate Silpa Mohan Reddy.
