Hyderabad: In the wake of serious debate over framing Sravan as accused number 1 (A1) in the sensational suicide case of beautician A. Sireesha, the accused has made some sensational remarks.

Sravan spoke to media persons when the police escorted him to Osmania General Hospital on Saturday to conduct medical tests. Sravan claimed that he had no role in the case and held his friend Rajeev responsible for Sireesha's death.

It may be recalled that beautician Sireesha, who was working under Rajeev (A2) in RJ Photo Studio in Jubilee Hills, was found dead under mysterious circumstances on June 13. The very next day, Kukunoorpally sub-inspector T. Prabhakar Reddy committed suicide by shooting himself with his service revolver at his quarters in Siddipet district.

News stories were aired in several news channels stating that Sravan had close connections with several political leaders in Nalgonda district. Sravan, who is a native of Mall village in Nalgonda district, knew Rajeev and Sireesha for sometime when he was undergoing coaching for the Telangana police SI exams. Later, Sravan had developed friendship with SI Prabhakar Reddy when he was in Nalgonda.

After conducting medical tests, Sravan and Rajeev were produced in Nampally court where the Judge sent the accused to judicial remand. They were shifted to Chanchalguda jail. Meanwhile, law experts opine that the accused may get a minimum of eight-year jail term for indirectly causing death to victim Sireesha in the case.
