Tollywood actor Balakrishna who is riding high with the bumper opening that his latest film,'Legend' garnered, has been slapped with a penalty of Rs 10,000 for flouting infrastructural conditions.
The Revenue department fined Balakrishna, Rs 10,000 for not taking permission before digging a bore well at Jubilee Hills Road No. 45.
According to the rule, digging a borewell, be it for domestic, industrial, commercial or entertainment purposes, requires mandatory registration.
According to revenue officials, the owner of the premises where the borewells is being dug, should inform in writing to the officials concerned, 30 days prior to the digging.
As per reports, neighbors believed to have lodged a complaint with the revenue officials.
The officials are saying that they will stop the bore well from being used at Balakrishna's house if the latter failed to pay the fine.
Interestingly, during Chandrababu Naidu's governance, the rule that borewells can't be dug without prior registration came to be implemented. And now, Balakrishna is flouting the same rule.
