Balakrishna To Don Father NTR’s Role In Biopic
Vijayawada: Buoyed by the success of his 100th movie Gautamiputra Satakarni, Hindupur MLA hero Balakrishna seems unstoppable nowadays! And now he wants to play the role of his legendary father Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao in a biopic on the matinee idol of yesteryear whose glamour catapulted him to power within nine months after forming Telugu Desam Party in March 1982.
The life of NTR was no less a legend and contained all elements of a social thriller. Balakrishna, who visited his father's native village Nimmakuru in Krishna district to inaugurate a 30-bed hospital on Monday, sprang a surprise for his fans by announcing that he is making a film on his father's life.
When asked if he is going to do the role of NTR, Balakrishna swiftly answered, "Why not?" He said he takes pride in doing the role of his legendary father. There are so many unknown facts and facets to my father's life and we are gathering all details, he said adding that all angles will be portrayed in the movie.
The producer and director will be finalized very soon, he added.
