Speaking at an election meeting at Hindupur in Anantapur district on Saturday, she blasted Balakrishna and TDP president Chandrababu Naidu.

She said: “If we elect mentally unsound persons, we too will become mentally unsound.”

“Balakrishna may have been a good actor. But a person, who can’t be a good son, can’t be a good politician,” said Sharmila.

“Slapping thighs and twirling moustaches does not make one a good leader. A good leader is one who tries to understand the problems of the people,” commented the leader.

She said that Chandrababu never fought for the people and spent most of his time in playing dirty politics of collusion with the Congress.

“Chandrababu stabbed his own father-in-law N.T.Rama Rao in the back. But, Balakrishna is now moving very close with the same person. Such a leader has no moral right to blame Y.S.Jagan,” blamed Sharmila.

“Y.S.Jagan, who denied all political posts for taking Odarpu Yatra, can’t be compared with a person like Balakrishna,” said Sharmila.
