Babu's parleys with Seema-Andhra leaders

TDP President, Chandrababu Naidu is holding parleys with leaders from the Andhra and Rayalaseema regions to arrive at some conclusion on the vexatious subject of Telangana.

He is being pressured by leaders from the Telangana region to send a letter to the Centre spelling out the TDP stand or in other words, to endorse the demand for a separate state.
Chandrababu is caught between the devil and the deep sea. On the one hand he had always maintained that Andhra and Telangana were like his "two eyes" and for the past several years, he got away with this statement. However, with elections not far away and with the TDP in a state of utter disarray as far its electoral fortunes are concerned, Chandrababu has many a problem on his plate.
Meanwhile, leaders from the Rayalaseema region of the state are now beginning to clamour for a separate state, saying that Rayalaseema has always had a raw deal. Chandrababu has a delicate balancing act to perform before he can arrive at any sort of consensus. How his party would come out with a clear stand on Telanagana is a million dollar question.
