Babu and rains: Seers slam TDP for anti-swamy stance

Visakha Sarada Peetham seer Swami Swaroopananda's sensational comments that there would be no rains in Andhra Pradesh as Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu took oath of office after sunset are continuing to make waves.

The seer had also said Chandrababu's sting as AP chief minister will see large dry weather.

While the TDP is livid at Swamy's utterances, other seers have backed him. The Uttarandhra Sadhu Parishad demanded that the TDP leaders apologise to the Seer.

Advising the TDP leaders that they should not insult Swamijis and monks, Uttarandhra Sadhu Parishad warned that the critics would face legal action if they insult Swamijis.

The seer said that Chandrababu had chosen wrong timing for his swearing in. He had pointed out that as many as five persons died on the day of his oath-taking and several people are dying everyday since then.

Similar problems and calamities had arisen when Chandrababu was sworn in after sunset earlier, he recalled.
