Baahubali Writer To Pen KCR Biopic

In a news to cheer about, a biopic on Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) seems to be in the offing. According to reports, Baahubali story writer KV Vijayendra Prasad is preparing a script for the biopic. Nivas has been reportedly finalised as the director for this project. A picture that has gone viral on social media shows Vijayendra Prasad and Nivas discussing the film.

Although plans were abuzz that the TRS Chief's story will made into a documentary, it is learnt that the producers of the project were more inclined towards make a full-scale commercial film. Often lauded as the leader who is primarily responsible for getting separate statehood for Telangana, KCR's story will surely inspire many.

The KCR biopic has been on cards in Tollywood for quite some time now. Last year, filmmaker Madhura Sreedhar Reddy had announced a biopic on KCR, and rumours in the industry circles indicated that Bollywood actor Rajkummar Rao would play the lead role. Later, the name of another Bollywood actor Nawazuddin Siddidui was reportedly considered to play the Telangana Chief Minister.
