B Pharm Grad Arrested For Cyber-Stalking Woman Politician
The Rachakonda Police on Monday arrested a man for allegedly "cyber-stalking" a woman worker of a political party.
The accused, identified as Mota Durga Prasad, a B.Pharm graduate, was harassing the victim who is a "feminist and active worker of a political party." Prasad allegedly threatened the woman that he would post her private videos and pictures on various social media platforms and will tarnish her image.
The investigation revealed that Prasad bore a grudge again women in general as a girl had earlier refused to accept his proposal, it said. Police seized a mobile phone and an internet router from the accused.
Based on a complaint filed by the woman, the police have registered a case under relevant sections of the IPC and the IT Act. The accused was produced before a local court which remanded him in judicial custody.
