Ayurvedic Village in Warangal Prison

Warangal: In a first-of-its-kind, the Warangal Central Prison will be housing Ayurvedic centre which will help the inmates to get employment as well as achieve self-sufficiency. The Director General of Prisons and Correctional Services, VK Singh today inaugurated "My Nation Ayurvedic Village" here today.

The wellness centre facility was launched to help the prisoners get employment. Talking to the media after the inaugurations, VK Singh said, "By year 2020, the Prisons department in Telangana will make Rs 100 crore annual turnover and thereby becoming self-sufficient."

He mentioned that the Ayurvedic centre set up at the Chanchalguda in 2016 is running in profits. The new Ayurvedic village in Warangal will offer various treatments and will try to address all the issues, he mentioned.

The Ayurvedic village in the prison is open for all and around 10 prisoners have been trained for managing the centre.
