New Delhi: In what is being seen as a blot on humanity, a reckless autorickshaw driver hit a pedestrian and instead of trying to save him, the driver non-chalantly got down from the vehicle only to see if his vehicle was damaged. Even while he was doing, the driver was talking into his cellphone.

The worse was yet to come. Even as the man, hit by the auto, lay dying, a rickshaw-wallah stopped by only to take away the victim’s cellphone.

The CCTV footage showed Matbool lying in helpless condition in a pool of blood.

A 32-year-old-man, identified as Matbool of West Bengal, died after being hit by an autorickshaw. But, the worst part of the incident is, that none came to the rescue of the severely injured man. Reportedly, Matbool lay on the road unattended for almost two hours till the police were informed. After the police shifted him to a nearby hospital at around 7:00 am, he was declared dead due to over bleeding.

“We are looking for the auto driver whose visuals have been captured in CCTV cameras installed in the area,” the officer said.

Matbool was an e-rickshaw driver and also worked as a security guard at night, police said.
