AP to set up special courts to deal with corruption cases

Vizianagaram: AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu on Monday announced that special courts would be set up to deal with graft cases and get back the money amassed by officials through corruption.

Participating in Jana Chaitanya Yatra in L.Kota, Chandrababu said the welfare of common people is the top priority of his government and will never stop welfare programs even if the state is in financial crisis.

He said the officials who are making money through corrupt practices would not spared and all their illegal money would be siezed by the government. This can support a lot of welfare and development programs in the state, he said. Through Jana Chaitanya Yatras, his government is able to gather detailed information on people's problems in every constituency and they will be resolved at any cost, CM added.

He participated in programs at Vajrapukotturu in Srikakulam district and assured that two harbours at Bhavanapadu and Kalingapatnam will be built in the district. This will create employment opportunities to the fishermen. He also promised to open a residential school exclusively for the fishermen community.

The government is also planning to set up an open university, horticulture college and a rice research centre in the district, he said. He also said the government is working on plans to interlink the Nagavali and Vamsadhara rivers for better irrigation in the district.
