​Angry At Summoned For Duty Again, Telangana Cop Turns Up In Lungi 

Hyderabad: A video of a constable clad in a lungi and banian reporting for duty has gone viral on social media. The incident happened on Friday in Karimnagar, but came to light only after the video got circulated.

The video shows constable Tirupati dressed in a lungi talking to his seniors much to their embarrassment while onlookers have a field day. According to reports, the constable was summoned to report for work again after he finished his duty at 8pm on Friday.

Tirupati takes care of mortuary, postmortem and inquest duties. Since his repeated pleas to be relieved went unheeded, the constable decided to show up dressed in a shockingly casual manner, much to the embarrassment of his seniors. It is learnt that Tirupati was later sent home. So far, thigher-ups in the department have remained tight-lipped on the issue.
