AMARAVATI : The Cabinet Sub-Committee that probed into the irregularities and insider trading in the capital region has submitted its report to the Government which will take legal opinion before referring it to the law enforcing agencies.

Briefing media after the cabinet meeting here on Friday, State Information Minister Perni Venkataramaiah (Nani) said, the cabinet sub-committee on insider trading in the capital region has found several irregularities and unfair practices during previous TDP government.

The State will take legal opinion and then refer the matter to either Lok Ayukta or go for a CBI or CB-CID inquiry, he said.

The sub-committee report stated that a company owned by family members of TDP leader Chandrababu Naidu was involved in the purchase of lands in July 2014, and all details of the registration are available.

The data of all the buyers of land on the peripheries of the capital region, ahead of the announcement of the name in December is with the government. The names include those who held high positions in the previous government including, ministers, their relatives, workers, and drivers.

The transactions took place six months before December 2014, when the region of the proposed capital was named.

The cabinet has also approved the purchase of new 108 and 104 vehicles; Rs 71.48 crore allocated for the purchase of 412 new 108 ambulances and Rs 60.51 crore for the purchase of 656 new 104 vehicles. This would be done before March 31, 2020.

The cabinet has given its nod for the Panchayat elections in the state and mentioned the reservation details; 6.77 percent reservation for STs, 19.08 percent for SCs, 34 percent reservation for BCs.

The cabinet also approved to run 341 permanent agriculture purchase centers in the state throughout the year. It also approved to purchase turmeric, onions, chili, and millets that do not meet the minimum selling price.

The Minister said that the cabinet has approved the allocation of 6 acres land at the cost of Rs 1 lakh per acre to Central Institute of Plastics Engineering & Technology (CIPET) at Surampalli in Krishna district.

The cabinet approved for the setting up of the Waqf Board in Rayachoti. The cabinet approved to construct Machilipatnam Port under the state government and approved for RITES to prepare the Detailed Procedure Report (DPR).
