HC Issues Notice To TDP Over New Party Office In Mangalagiri

AMARAVATI: The Andhra Pradesh High Court on Monday, December 16, issued notices to the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) after agreeing to hear a petition filed by YSRCP MLA Alla Ramakrishna Reddy (RK), requesting for the demolition of new TDP office constructed in Mangalagiri mandal in Guntur district.

Terming the construction as illegal, RK approached the High Court and filed a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) requesting for demolition of the party office. He appealed that the land be reclaimed handed over to the state government.

The office was inaugurated at Atmakur in Mangalagiri Mandal on December 6. TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu and his son Nara Lokesh were present during the inauguration.

In the PIL, RK mentioned that the TDP government led by Chandrababu Naidu in 2017 had issued a GO allotting 3.65 acres of land under the survey of Vagu Poramboku, No. 392 as lease for the next 99 years for the construction of TDP office, which is illegal.

The PIL has also included the names of Chief Secretary of the Revenue Department, the Chief Commissioner of Land Administration (CCLA) Secretary, the Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development (CRDA) Commissioner, District Collector, and the President of the TDP.
