YS Jagan Visit To Anantapur On December 5th

AMARAVATI: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will formally inaugurate the Kia Motors India plant facility a t Erramanchi village in Anantapur district on December 5th.

The top brass of the Kia Motors will also be present to witness the 100% completion of the manufacturing facility where it is producing the KIA Seltos cars.

As per the itinerary released by the Chief Minister's Office, he will attend the opening ceremony at 11 a.m. and spend time there until 2.30 p.m. visiting the plant. As part of the visit he will conduct a review meeting with Kia representatives about the manufacturing plant capabilities, future expansion plans, and the employment opportunities for the locals there.

District Collector Gandham Chandrudu and Superintendent of Police B Satya Yesu Babu and Kia officals reviewed the arrangements for the visit of the Chief Minister on Tuesday.

Anantapur govt officials supervising arrangements ahead of CM YS Jagan’s visit

On December 5th, the Chief Minister will start from Gannavaram Airport at 9: 30am in the morning and reach Puttaparthi airport at 10:30. He will reach Kia Motors plant at Erramanchi village at Anantapur at 11:05 am and tour the plant till 12:35 pm . He will visit the Assembly unit, Engine shop and test drive facility there.

The opening ceremony is slated to be conducted till 1:15 pm and after the ceremony he will leave the Kia plant by helicopter and reach the Puttaparthi Airport by 1:30 pm

He will take the 1:55 pm flight and reach Gannavaram airport at around 3:00 pm.

Kia Motors' first plant in India has been built on a 536-acre site at Penukonda in Anantapur district. Kia had signed a memorandum of understanding with the Andhra Pradesh government in April 2017 for setting up the car manufacturing plant with an investment of USD 1.1 billion, to produce three lakh cars a year.

The company spokesperson said that they would be able to manufacture seven lakh cars in the future with added capacity. They informed him that they were also exporting engines to Turkey and Slovakia. Chief Minister YS Jagan accepted the invitation and said that he would attend the inauguration of Kia's new car.
