Farmers Throw Stones, Slippers On Chandrababu Naidu’s Vehicle In Amaravati

AMARAVATI: A group of farmers staged a protest against Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday saying that Chandrababu had betrayed them in the name of capital city development.

Tension prevailed in Rayapudi on Seed Access Road after a group of protesters tries to stop the convoy of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief.

Farmers and protesters carrying black placards and huge flex banners raised slogans against Chandrababu Naidu. They also burnt an effigy of the TDP president.

Farmers lashed out at the TDP president of doing nothing in five years of his tenure for the development of Amaravati, despite thousands of peasants giving away their fertile agricultural land for the construction of capital in Amaravati.

The farmers who were holding black flags and raising slogans of 'Naidu go back'.

Stones were pelted by protesters at the convoy of Chandrababu Naidu. Some top TDP leaders were also travelling along with Chandrababu Naidu in the bus. Footwears was also thrown on the bus.
