TADEPALLI: Andhra University Vice-chancellor Professor Prasad Reddy and Alumni Association President Professor Beela Satyanarayana has taken a decision to hold the Andhra University Alumni Conference on December 13.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and Tech Mahindra CEO CP Gurnani will attend the event as chief guests.

Professor Prasad Reddy said that the AU alumni conference will be held at the AU Convention Center on Visakha Beach Road. All the students who graduated from Andhra University are invited to participate in this event, for which they are required to register their names through the university website.

The professor added that this alumni conference is the largest association in the country, as more than 80 lakh students graduated from the AU university.

He said that the Alumni Association would be run as a charitable trust, which included former DGP Sambasivara Rao. The association's founder and president, Grandhi Mallikarjuna Rao (GMR), has come forward to build a 45-room special hostel and is working with the support of alumni and donors to improve infrastructure in AU.
