He also instructed officials to open the purchase centres through the agriculture marketing department and provide MSP to the farmers with effect from today afternoon.

Speaking at the meeting, Minister of Agriculture Kurasala Kannababu has said that a quintal of corn was priced at Rs 2,200 a week ago. There was a sudden fall in the price to Rs 1,500 within a week.
