AP CM YS Jagan Launches Connect to Andhra Web Portal

AMARAVATI: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy launched "Connect to Andhra" web portal at his office in the AP Secretariat, on Friday, November 8. the Chief Minister called upon the people to actively participate in the government schemes and programmes.

The website, launched at Secretariat here on Friday, will give details of the funds that would be collected from donors, societies, Non Residents Indians (NRIs) and CSR funds.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that details of any person willing to donate to the welfare schemes being implemented in their villages like Navaratnalu, Nadu-Nedu and other Government schemes will be portrayed on the website.

The main motto behind AP CM starting Andhra web portal is to get more contributions from different sources like Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funding, Donors and donations from non-resident Telugu speaking people. CSR is the funding and grants process under which non-profit organisations can get financial assistance from the Corporate sector and the companies have to contribute at least 2 percent of their net profits.

For the new web portal named as "Connect to Andhra", the CM will be the Chairman and Chief Secretary will be the Vice-Chairman. YS Jagan said that all the people can help by donating funds to any of the government schemes and programmes like Navaratnalu, Nadu Nedu and others.

After launching "Connect to Andhra" web portal AP CM requested all the people especially non-resident Telugu speaking people for donating money to AP government Schemes.

YSR Congress party said that It's a great opportunity for the Telugu people to show their love for the state. He even added that It does not matter how much a person can help, people can even take up any activity in their village or their constituency or in a district. He even requested all the NRI people to donate funds for the welfare schemes of AP.

Municipal Administration Commissioner Vijay Kumar, Planning Commission Deputy Secretary Koteshwaramma and APNRT Chairman Medpati Venkat were also present at the launch of "Connect to Andhra" web portal.
