AMARAVATI: Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy said that there was a very good response to the Spandana programme and mostly representations were being received from the people for house site pattas, ration cards and pensions.

During a review meeting here on Tuesday, the Chief Minister said that the officials were trained for following standard operating procedures in solving the problems of the people as part of Spandana programme. So far 6,99,548 representations were received out of which 5,57,553 (80%) were solved, 49,337 were pending and 92,656 were rejected.

State secretary Solomon and other officials from the Chief Minister’s office would visit all the districts to meet the MROs and municipal commissioners to take steps for solving the problems of the people.

The Chief Minister directed the officials to ensure that there was no corruption among the offices of the MROs, municipal commissioners, collectors and SPs. He said that a smile on the faces of the officials while receiving representations from the public would ensure 50 per cent of good governance and curbing corruption would ensure the remaining 5 per cent.

The Chief Minister directed the officials to ensure the display of representations of the people in the village secretariats. He also wanted them to keep computers, scanners and, lamination printers ready at the village secretariats so that pension and rations cards could be printed there from January 1. He also wanted the officials to ensure that quality seeds and manure were made available to farmers and modern farming techniques taught to them.

So far 22,79,670 beneficiaries were identified for the distribution of house site pattas. The Chief Minister said that nowhere in the country have so many beneficiaries been identified for the distribution of house sites. The sites were being registered in the name of women. Efforts are being made to give the sites only in the urban areas. Two cents of land was being registered at the rate of only Re 1. First priority would be given to people who live on canals bunds and river beds. According to estimates, at least 6 lakh houses would be needed for such people.

The government has taken a decision to fill the posts of 19,000 village volunteers in urban areas and 9,000 posts in the rural areas by November third week.

The Chief Minister has directed the district collectors to focus on Rythu Bharosa programme and mistakes in Aadhaar seeding and other problems have to be solved by November 15 as part of the programme. The officials told the Chief Minister that efforts were being made to reopen the bank accounts of 1.87 lakh farmers so that Rythu Bharosa funds could be disbursed to them. Similarly, efforts were being made to correct the Aadhaar details of 4.89 lakh farmers.
