YS Jagan Outraged Over 6-Year-Old Girl Sexual Assault

NARASARAOPETA: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has expressed outrage over the Sexual Assault of a 6-year-old girl in Pedagarlapadu village of Dachepalle Mandal, of Guntur district and instructed the officers to take stern action against the accused.

AP CM instructed DGP and the Collector to take immediate legal action against the accused. He also ordered the police officials to take strong action against the accused.

While speaking with the media persons over the incident Home Minister Sucharitha said that the AP government had taken the accused into custody within 24 hours of the incident and he will be punished.

Sucharitha further added that the state government will help the victim and her family members in all possible ways. Sucharitha said that the girl is currently recovering in hospital, she assured the people of AP that the government will take strict action and no such incidents can be repeated in the state.

State Woman's Commission Chairperson Vasireddy Padma, consoled the family members of the victim on Friday, October 25 and said that govt would provide security to them in the village. She also visited the six-year-old girl who was admitted to the Narasaraopeta Government Hospital.

While speaking to the reporters Padma said that she had spoken to District Collector Samuel Anand Kumar about the incident. Woman's Commissions is taking the initiative to ensure full assistance from the government to the victim. And the victim's family will receive financial assistance from the government after receiving the police report.
