Minister Mekapati Gautam Welcomes Business Investment Opportunities In AP
Bangalore: Andhra Pradesh Minister for Industry, Commerce and IT, Mekapati Gautam Reddy met the representatives of various companies in a 'Business Outreach Programme' at Conrad Hotel in Bangalore on Tuesday.
The Minister met them as part of showcasing Andhra Pradesh as a favourable destination with its transparent IT and industrial policies for bringing in investments in the state on the back of conducive business environment.
The Minister stated that the Government under the leadership of Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy was working towards industrial development of the State.
As part of the programme he met representatives from different companies. He met TCS representatives Sunil Desh Pandey, and Neeta Mantri about the expansion of the IT sector in AP. He appraised them about the various opportunities and asked them to consider making investments and expand IT field in the State.
He laid emphasis on good governance, transparency, and the endeavour of the State government to bring welfare scheme to the doorsteps of the people of the State. Entrepreneurs have now shifted their focus on the State for future investments, he said.
He also spoke about how more than 5 lakh people were employed with the Government in a span of three months of the Government taking charge, in the wake of the layoff of employees in various companies across the world.
Mekapati said that Anantapur and Visakhapatnam districts were being developed as the centres for industrial development in the coming months.
As part of the Outreach Programme, the Minister also met representatives from Octobuzz Solutions Pvt.Ltd., Price Waterhouse Coopers (PWC), Hilton Hotel and Vishwa Apparel Garment Exporter Company. They discussed various aspects related to exports and trade opportunities in Andhra Pradesh and the way forward.
