Quality Workshops To Resolve Issues Through Spandana: YS Jagan

Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy instructed officials about maintaining quality while solving the problems of people through Spandana (Redressal) program and has decided to conduct Workshops for officers. In a review meeting over Spandana program held on Tuesday in Tadepalli,he called for an action plan to be prepared to conduct a workshop in the months of September and October.

YS Jagan said that State-level workshop will be conducted on 24th and 27th of September which will be convened by the State Chief Secretary. While the two-day workshop will be conducted at district level in October. YS Jagan added that motivating ground level officers to actively take part in the Spandana program was the motto behind conducting these workshops and said that the District Collectors should also take part in this workshop.

YS Jagan said that the Government was serious about the Spandana program and ordered MROs, MPDOs and Municipal Commissioners to attend this workshop. YS Jagan reminded that the response from the public is good because of the commitment of the Government towards the Spandana and that it increases our responsibility to ensure quality in solving the problems, which will happen only with the support of all the officers.

Talking about the Grama Sachivalayams ( Village Secretariats), YS Jagan said that they should start from 2nd of October, as promised by YSRCP to the people of Andhra Pradesh. He reiterated the fact that the aim for setting up Secretariats at the ward/village levels was to ensure that the benefits all YSRCP welfare schemes reach the beneficiaries directly.

Ys Jagan ordered officers to give more priority to social audit in Grama Sachivalayams, and everyone who applies for new ration cards and pensions should be provided with the cards within December. He told the officials to display the details of white card holders and beneficiaries of pension scheme on the boards in Village Secretariats along with the details of beneficiaries of welfare schemes.

YS Jagan Says that if there are any objections to the people over the list, officers should look into that and resolve them and every eligible person should get the benefits.

Auto Drivers beneficiary Scheme:

The Chief Minister reviewed the financial assistance scheme to provide Rs 10,000 to Auto, Taxi and Maxi cab owners and held a review on acceptance of applications, scrutinization and sanctioning of financial assistance to them.

Housing Scheme:

He directed the officials to complete data collection and verification of the beneficiaries of the Housing Scheme by September. He also instructed that the survey of the existing lands should be completed by October and to start procuring additional required land for housing schemes in November.

“YSR Kanti Velugu” scheme:

About 5.3crore people would be benefited through “YSR Kanti Velugu” scheme, YS Jagan said, which would be implemented in six phases. The first phase would be from October 10th to 16th. About 70 lakh students will undergo eye tests in the first phase. The second phase would be held from 1st November to 31st December. The remaining phases would be implemented from 1st February, 2020. Officials told the Chief Minister that they would identify the people in the first phase and would provide treatment accordingly. The government allotted RS 560 Crore for YSR Kanti Velugu” scheme to provide screening tests, distribution of eyeglasses, the conduct of cataract surgery and other programs.

YS Jagan told that the government is ready to spend Rs 43 per day for women and Rs 18 per day for children suffering from malnutrition and anemia.

He directed the officials to take steps to utilize floodwater in Rayalseema region. After reviewing the sand shortage, the Chief Minister told the officials to excavate the sand and send them to the stockyards as soon as possible.
