TDP Attack: Two YSRCP Activists And SI Injured In Ungaturu

Krishna: Two YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) workers and a police Sub Inspector suffered grievous injuries in a clash between TDP and YSRCP activists at Thellaprolu village in Ungaturu Mandal, Krishna district.

Clashes erupted during the Ganesh immersion procession in the village. As the procession was moving in front of the YSRCP party office, few TDP workers instigated a group of people who YSRCP sympathizers. A scuffle soon broke out and ended up with TDP leaders throwing stones at the YSRCP workers.

Local police were called in to diffuse tension and the TDP leaders also hurled stones at the police.

Athkuru SI Srinivasa Rao and two YSRCP activists were injured in the incident. They were taken to the local hospital for treatment. A criminal case was filed in the police station against the TDP cadre.
