Police have tightened the security in Atmakur to avoid any unnecessary conflicts in the area. They are also stopping politicians from reaching Atmakur with orders from the authorities.

However, TDP leader and former minister Bhuma Akhilapriya failed to heed the words of the policemen. They didn't permit her to leave the hotel after which she got into a heated argument with the police and tried to threaten the lady police SI along with her followers. Telugu Desam Party leader and former Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu has given a call to 'Chalo Atmakur' to protest against YSRCP, on September 11.

Chandrababu had instigated people against the ruling YSRCP while the ruling party itself has called for Chalo Atmakur.

YSRCP also responded to Chandrababu Naidu's announcement and issued counter replies that even YSRCP leaders will go to Atmakur on the same day to protest against TDP's fake publicity stunts.

YSR Congress Party and the Telugu Desam Party bracing for a showdown. Police stepped up vigil and additional forces have also been sent to Palnadu to prevent untoward incidents. In the wake of the political heat that began in Palnadu, the police have taken preventive measures to ensure peace at Atmakur in Durgi Mandal.
