Brothers Allege Land Registration Fraud In Kadapa

Kadapa: In a case of fake land deal, two complainants reached police for help as they allege that their land has been grabbed without paying the full sum. the incident happened in Kadapa district.

The complainant Jake Rajesh Singh and his elder brother Ramesh Singh, who lives in the Habibullah Street of Kadapa district complained that they had three-acre land in Viswanathapuram near Kadapa. They had sold the land to the accused Kavitha from Andhra Pradesh. The duo had signed an agreement with Kavitha on October 24 last year after taking an advance of Rs two crore and fifty lakh.

On August 28, Kavitha was summoned to the Sub Registrar's office at Kadapa Balaji Nagar to register the land. However, the registration was postponed to September 3 as Kavitha didn't pay the full amount for the land registration.

Later, both brothers, on Tuesday went to the Sub-Registrar's office for registration. However, remaining fifty lakh was not paid to the brothers. The brothers allege that Kavitha is threatening to kill them if they ask about the remaining money.

A complaint has been lodged at Kadapa Police Station.

Police have registered a case against five people and an inquiry into the case has been started.
