Gudipala: In a shocking incident, a woman killed her husband with the help of her lover in Gudipala on Sunday. According to police, Ramadas (36) of Chittapara panchayat got married to Mogilamma (30) and both were living in Dharmaraju Puram. Mogilamma developed an extra marital affair with Umapathi (26). It is learnt that Mogilamma offered Rs 4 lakhs and gold jewellery to Umapathi as loan. On learning of it, Mogilamma’s husband demanded that Umapathi return the money and gold jewellery. On Saturday night, Mogilamma planned to kill her husband and called Umapathi to her house. At midnight they both killed Ramdas by slitting his throat.

Later, early in the morning she called her neighbours and said that her husband was killed by an unknown person. The villagers then informed Gudipala police. Gudipala CI Lakshmikanth Reddy and SI Shaikshah Vali reached the spot and shifted the deceased to Chittoor government hospital for autopsy. The local police filed a case and have taken Mogilamma and Umapathi into custody.
