Amaravati: As has been extensively reported, TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu's rented house, an illegal construction located on the banks of River Krishna, faces the threat of submersion with flood water levels rising constantly. But the Telugu Desam Party is trying to politicise the issue and creating a hullabaloo over visuals being shot by drone cameras. Trying to deflect attention from the issue of illegal construction, TDP leaders questioned as to who gave the permission for the shooting visuals. Irrigation department officials clarified that it was on their instructions that the shooting of visuals by drone cameras was taken up. Further, they pointed out that it was being done to assess the extent of water levels and the resultant submersion.

Bapatla MP Nandigama Suresh said that it was unfortunate that the TDP was attempting to politicise the issue. Chandrababu Naidu, who has 40 years of experience, should understand the seriousness of the issue and move out voluntarily. He also said that it was imperative for the TDP supremo to change his attitude and think about the interests of the state. It is not proper on the part of TDP leaders play politics over the issue of shooting visuals with a drone camera especially when threat of submersion loomed large. Lingamaneni Guest House, the illegal building where Chandrababu resided, was only one of the many buildings which was under threat. The government kept a close eye on the flood situation, the YSRCP MP added.

Mangalagiri MLA Alla Ramakrishna Reddy, (RK) criticised Chandrababu Naidu for trying to prevent the submersion of the TDP chief's illegal residence at Lingamaneni by dumping sand into teh flowing water and placing hundreds of sand bags. He said the illegal building was submerged to the level of 75% and faced further threat of getting submerged. It was not correct on the part of TDP leaders to obstruct the shooting of the flood levels through the use of drone cameras, RK added.
