Guntur Woman Buried Alive In Pit While Collecting Limestone

Guntur: A woman was buried alive under a mound of earth while she was collecting limestone from a pit. The incident happened at Tangirala Mitta area near Neelagangavaram village of Vinukonda mandal in Guntur district on Saturday.

The deceased has been identified as 26-year-old Revalla Swathi.

Vinukonda urban CI D Chinnamallaiah told a leading daily that the woman along with others went to Tangiralamitta in search of limestone for livelihood.

While collecting, the mound of earth fell on her and she suffered severe injuries.

She died on her way to the hospital.
