1. SBI Cashier In Krishna Steals 2 Kg Gold, Rs 25 Lakh Cash From Bank, Held

A bank cashier was arrested on Sunday in Andhra Pradesh's Krishna district allegedly after the recovery of 2 kg gold and Rs 25 lakh in cash he had stolen from the branch.The cashier, G Srinivasa Rao, was posted at State Bank of India's Paritala branch in Kanchikacherla mandal, Krishna District Superintendent of Police M Ravindranath Babu said.

Stating that education is the driver behind a developed society, Tourism Minister Avanthi Srinivas said Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy wanted to put Andhra Pradesh in the top position in the country with regard to education. 4. Vijayawada: Ongole native drowns in US

An Ongole native, Nune Suresh, reportedly fell into the Turner Falls at Oklahoma, US, and drowned on Friday. According to reports, he was holidaying with his family when the incident occurred at about 10 pm Indian time on Friday. He was rushed to a hospital but it was too late, reports said.

5. Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu fishermen fight over Pulicat lake fishing

Tension prevails between fishermen of AP and Tamil Nadu after 12 fishermen belonging to AP were abducted by TN fishermen when they ventured into the TN side of Pulicat lake for fishing on Wednesday. The AP government is being blamed for the breaking out of tensions among fishermen of the two states at regular intervals as it has failed to address a long-pending demand to make Pulicat lake a free zone for fishing.
