Krishna Reddy and his wife claimed that they were into prawn business and took loans of Rs. 10.50 lakhs from K. Vijayakumar Reddy of the same locality, Rs.9 lakhs from one Rajani, Rs. 18 lakhs from Pitchi Reddy and Rs. 15 lakhs from one M. Sunitha. They later sold their house to a doctor and disappeared overnight. The victims later realised that the couple had duped several others in a similar fashion.
