Five Projects In AP Are Being Operated With International Aid: Nirmala Sitharaman

Union Finance Minister Nirmala Seetharaman informed the Parliament that five projects in Andhra Pradesh are being executed with aid received from World Bank

New Delhi: Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman informed the Parliament that five projects in Andhra Pradesh are being executed with aid received from World Bank in the last three years.

Seetharaman was responding to a question posed by MPs KVP Ramachandra Rao and Mohammed Ali Khan in Rajya Sabha on Tuesday.

In addition to above mentioned projects, four other project proposals for aid from AP government are being considered by the World Bank and the New Development Bank. Besides these, 12 other projects are sent to other international aid agencies for the purpose of receiving financial aid.

She informed that project proposal to the tune of Rs 960 crore for Hyderabad Metro Rail and renovation and repairs of city roads from Telangana government was sent to German aid organisations in the last September. A requisition for Rs 1,242 crore for the purpose of creating basic infrastructure in Amaravati was sent to Japan.
