Amaravati: Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will conduct surprise checks to see how Spandana grievance redressal programme is being carried out across various government offices in the State.

YS Jagan held a teleconference with district collectors and SPs on Tuesday to review how Spandana programme was received by people and to know the issues faced by officials. The initiative kick started on Monday with aim to resolve people's issues at the earliest with officials concerned receiving their complaints in person.

The Chief Minister said he would personally inspect Spandana programme as part of his Rachabanda initiative, which will be taking off soon. Rachabanda is a mass people contact programme where CM directly visits a village to take stock of the developmental activities without any prior information to authorities concerned. This was a programme developed by former chief minister Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy.

YS Jagan enquired if officials were receiving complaints from people as instructed - like giving away slips to person concerned notifying him/her when the particular problem would be resolved and such other details. He ordered officials to digitise the complaints and prepare a database so as to track how they were being resolved.
