Amaravati: The State government on Thursday appointed JNTU-Anantapur Mechanical Engineering department professor Konireddy Hemachandra Reddy as the new chairman of the Andhra Pradesh State Council for Higher Education. Special chief secretary JSV Prasad issued orders to this effect.
Hemachandra Reddy will serve as APSCHE chairman for a period of three years. Prof Vijaya Raju was serving in the same capacity earlier had tendered his resignation recently.
Meanwhile, Professor KC Reddy has been appointed as RGUKT chancellor. The State government issued orders to this effect. Reddy will be in the position for a period of five years.
