Eleven farmers unwilling to part with agricultural land under the land pooling scheme of the erstwhile Chandrababu Naidu government to develop the capital Amaravati had committed suicide after ''harassment'', Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy said in Amaravati on Tuesday.

Amaravati: The demolition of the building, Praja Vedika convention hall was underway on Wednesday morning. In the second round of its health index report titled ‘The Healthy States, Progressive India: Report on Rank of States and UTs’ released by NITI Aayog on Tuesday, Kerala retained its position by emerging as the top ranking state. Andhra Pradesh has emerged to become the second healthiest state in the country, taking a big leap from the eighth position.

4. TDP Government Leaves Behind A Staggering Debt Of Rs. 2,49,435 Crore

New Delhi: Central Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman revealed that the Andhra Pradesh state debt was at a staggering Rs 2,49,435 Crore, as per the financial year 2018-19. Elaborating further, she said that by the end of March 2015 the state debt was at Rs 1,48,743 Crore. By the end of the year 2017, there was a 35 percent increase in the debt which amounted to Rs 2,01,314 Crore.

Kasibugga, Srikakulam: YSRCP MLA from Palasa, Dr. Sidiri Appalaraju successfully prevailed upon cashew nut industries to open the units which had been closed for a week. The cashew nut industries had shut down following non-payment of the promised 12% hike to workers in them as per an agreement with the management. The MLA met the management representatives and workers on Tuesday to resolve the issue
