1. Navaratnalu To Get Lion’s Share In Ensuing Budget

Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy instructed officials to make the implementation of Navaratnalu a matter of priority, and make efforts to pool in resources for the same. In preparation for the budget for the 2019-2020 fiscal year, YS Jagan held deliberations with Finance Minister Bugguna Rajendranath Reddy and officials from the department on Saturday.

2. Vijayawada: 12 Trucks Gutted In Fire

As many as 12 trucks were destroyed in a fire accident in Ibrahimpatnam of Krishna district. The mishap occurred in the early hours of Monday morning when the trucks were parked near Ibrahimpatnam Track Terminal South India Garage in Vijayawada. The trucks reportedly were stationed in the parking space for a considerable time before the fire erupted.

In a tragic road mishap, three people, hailing from Kukatpally in Hyderabad were killed in the district on Saturday. As per the details, the mishap occurred when the victims were travelling to visit Kamakshi temple in Jonnawada of Nellore district on Saturday morning.

4. Family Opposition Drives Newly-Wed Couple To Commit Suicide In West Godavari

A newly-married couple committed suicide on Saturday by consuming pesticide at Jangareddygudem in West Godavari district. The deceased were identified as N Sekhar (21) and T Posamma (19). According to the reports, the parents of the couple did not approve of their relationship.

5. 16-year-old Andhra girl locked, raped for 5 days by 6 including 3 minors

A 16-year-old girl was allegedly locked up and raped for five days by six people, including three boys in Ongole town of Andhra Pradesh, police said on Sunday. All six accused have been arrested from different parts of the state and police said they are further investigating the case. Home Minister M Sucharita promised stern action as the incident raised concerns over the safety of women in the state.
