Vijayawada: In connection to reports regarding TDP President N Chandrababu Naidu getting frisked at the Gannavaram airport during the security checks on Saturday, YSRCP MLA Jogi Ramesh hit back at the TDP leaders who are making it an unnecessary issue.

Speaking to the media on Saturday, MLA Jogi Ramesh said the TDP leaders should know the actual facts over the security checks and Chandrababu has to undergo the formalities as a passenger.

Citing that the Z Plus category security is not applicable for Chandrababu and this matter has been confirmed by the APD officials, the YSRCP leader said that the officials at the airport have conducted security checks in accordance with the regulations. He also mentioned that so far, the Z Plus Security has been given to only prominent personalities such as Karunanidhi, Advani and Prafulla Kumar Mahanta.

Stating that Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has already directed the officials to ensure no attacks take place on anyone in the state, Jogi Ramesh added that the TDP leaders are making false propaganda over the issue.

The YSRCP leader further criticized Chandrababu over the election results for TDP being limited to 23 seats, yet he feels no remorse.
