Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh has been experiencing severe heat conditions across the state since the last three days and the mercury levels are expected to soar higher. The RTGS (Real Time Governance Society) has issued an alert warning that the temperatures are likely to increase further to a vast extent. Gripping under intense heat wave conditions, the state is expected to record 47 degrees Celsius on Monday in many places. The RTGS officials said that the temperature in the state is oscillating between 41 to 45 degrees for the past week. While the heat wave conditions are continuing to prevail in AP particularly in the state's central regions, the temperature is likely to rise till 47 degrees.

Prakasam, Nellore, Kadapa, Kurnool, Guntur, Vizianagaram, Chittoor, Krishna, Anantapur, and some parts of Visakhapatnam and Srikakulam districts are likely to witness temperatures between 45 to 47-degree Celsius.

Even in the other districts across the state, the temperatures are to reach 45 to 47-degrees in Krishna, Guntur, Prakasam, Nellore, Chittoor, Kadapa, Kurnool, and Vizianagaram districts.

In districts like Srikakulam, Visakhapatnam, West Godavari, East Godavari, and Anantapur, the temperatures are likely to be around 43 to 45 degrees. The RTGS officials urged the people to not venture outside during the daytime and get exposed to the sunlight directly. In the next five days, temperatures will rise across the state, according to the Andhra Pradesh State Disaster Management Authority.
