Bike-Truck Collision Kills Two In Guntur

Guntur: In a tragic incident, two persons were burnt alive after two vehicles caught fire in a collision on Sunday night. The incident took place at Boyapalem village on National Highway 16 in Guntur district.

As per the details, two persons, identified as Vachimalla Naresh (33) and Yerraguntla Shyam Prasad (35) were heading to Boyapalem from Guntur on the motorcycle.

However, on their way the motorcycle collided with a lorry and the impact of which caused the fuel tank of the motorcycle to explode. As a result, both the bike and the lorry caught fire. While Naresh burned in the flames and died on the spot, Shyam suffered 90 per cent burns and was admitted to government hospital in Guntur. He succumbed to the burn injuries later at the hospital.

The deceased, Naresh belongs to Bobbarlu village in Pedanadipadu mandal while Shyam hails from Ikkurru in Narasaraopet. Both of them worked at NTR Mirchi Yard.
