Vijayawada-Hyderabad Volvo Bus Catches Fire Near Jupudi
Vijayawada: A Volvo bus belonging to the Telangana RTC caught fire in Vijayawada on Thursday. The incident took place near Jupudi in Ibrahimpatnam Mandal of Krishna district.
Flames erupted suddenly in the bus traveling from Vijayawada to Hyderabad. Noticing the flames, the bus driver alerted the passengers immediately and helped them deboard, moving them to safety. At the time of the incident, 50 passengers were onboard. No one sustained any injuries in the mishap.
Subsequently, the authorities helped the passengers by boarding them on a different bus to reach Hyderabad.
The firefighters who received the information reached the spot and doused the fire. According to the details, the mishap occurred due to a short circuit in electrical wiring. Further details are awaited.
