The IT officials also simultaneously raided the residences of the followers of the late TDP leader Metla Satyanarayana. The IT officials continued to conduct searches from morning to night without allowing anyone to enter inside the premises.
The IT raids were conducted under the guidance of Assistant Commissioner Ramesh, IT department in Rajamahendravaram.
Recently, reports suggested that the three leaders sold their most valuable lands for real estate purposes and raked in crores of rupees. In this regard, the authorities sought taxes for the Capital Gains which need to be paid. They inspected the documents and other assets of the three TDP leaders. However, some of the local TDP leaders claimed that only the advances for the lands sold were taken and registration is yet to take place, hence the entire amount has not been paid.
