Srikakulam: A section of the Telugu Desam Party attacked the YSR Congress party office in Srikakulam district on Thursday. Six YSRCP activists were injured in the incident and were shifted to the Tekkali Government hospital for treatment.
As per the details, the TDP leaders attacked the YSRCP office in Kotabommali Mandal in the presence of TDP leader Boina Ramesh. Initially, the party leaders damaged the furniture and destroyed some files in the office. YSRCP activists who were present at the premises attempted to stop them, however, they were thrashed mercilessly with sticks and iron rods. Nearly 120 people were involved in the attack, according to the sources.
Stating that the police didn't take any action or registered a case in regard to the incident, the YSRCP activists alleged that the attack was forged by the TDP leaders, as per the instructions given by Minister Atchannaidu.
