Three Youngsters From Telangana Drown In Godavari River
Rajahmundry: Three youngsters have drowned in the Godavari River on Saturday. The incident took place at Veleru village of Kukkunuru mandal in West Godavari.
According to the police, a group of six youngsters from Nagineni Reddypalem village of Buragampadu mandal of Bhadradri-Kothagudem district in Telangana visited Veleru village to celebrate the birthday of one among the group.
All of them went to the riverside with an intent to have a dip.
While three friends returned back to the shore, three others went missing. The local villagers and the police were immediately alerted in this regard. Subsequently, a search operation was launched. However, the police were not able to trace the three youngsters, who have been identified as Srinivasa Reddy (21), Siva Reddy, (21), and Seshu (20). All the three are learned to be working as out-sourcing employees at a private firm.
The three are feared to have drowned. A case has been registered and the police investigation is underway.
