Gadkari Slams Chandrababu For False Propaganda On Central Funds

Vijayawada: Union Minister Nitin Gadkari launched a scathing attack on Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu claiming that he was ready for a debate with the TDP leaders that no one can provide as many funds provided by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi to AP.

In his address at the party supporters' meeting here, he added that Modi’s vision is to ensure good administration to all. Since Modi became Prime Minister terrorist activities in the country have come down, he remarked. Nitin Gadkari pointed out that houses will be allotted to the people, who are economically backward by 2022. The Union government has been helping the state financially as much as it can, but Chandrababu continues to criticize PM Narendra Modi, he observed.

Referring to the Polavaram project he said that the Centre is going to bear all the expenses incurred, and 62% of the project is complete. Later he spoke about the Bharatmala program under which Rs 44,000 crores is being spent to build Highways. On the subject of new projects coming up in the state, he added Anantapur to Amaravati Highway is being constructed with Rs 20,000 crore, Visakhapatnam-Chennai industrial corridor will also be completed and a Petro Chemical University will be set up in Kakinada. The senior BJP leader pointed out that the Union government has allocated a sum of Rs 1,25,000 crores to AP.

Andhra Pradesh BJP president Kanna Lakshmi Narayana took potshots at TDP and said the TDP leaders have accepted commissions by handing over the contracts of the programs granted by BJP. The BJP leader added that the Centre has granted Rs 24,000 crore to the state after the TDP left BJP. Chandrababu is scared of Modi and is making baseless comments, concluded Kanna.

BJP MLA Vishnu Kumar Raju flayed TDP leaders and added that the TDP leaders have made Rs 2000 crore illegally through sand mining. He welcomed the move by the Centre to build roads in the state with Rs 16,200 crore. Vishnu Kumar remarked that Chandrababu has failed to stop illegal sand mining and land grabbing in the state. The Special Investigation Team has been working under pressure, as many TDP leaders are involved in the land grabbing cases, he added.

The BJP MLA pointed that TDP was founded to fight the Congress in the state but the same TDP has been now merged with the Congress.

Former Union Minister and BJP leader Purandeswari hailed Modi’s bill for the reservation to poor in the upper castes. She observed that people of AP are looking for a change pointing out that under Chandrababu’s regime every scheme became a scam. Expressing the views of the people of AP, the BJP leader said, people of AP are looking for the administration without corruption.
