Vijayawada: YSR Congress Party BC Cell president Janga Krishnamurthy said that injustice has been meted out to the BC community in MBBS seating counseling session and demanded re-counseling. Speaking to media here today, he said that they had already submitted a memorandum in this regard to the Health University vice chancellor.

The BC community leader said that state minister Acham Naidu responded positively on the issue and promised to conduct re-counseling. But till date there has been no announcement regarding re-counseling and also GO 550 was not being implemented by the state government, he remarked.

Janga Krishnamurthy asked as to why the government did not file a counter in the court when they have legal issues with the counseling. "This was nothing but sheer negligence on the part of the government." He said the state government was restricting the rights of BCs since AP chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu was not concerned about reservations. Health University should conduct re-counseling , if not YSRCP workers would stage protest at all the medical colleges in the state, he added.
