Pulivendula: Rich tributes were paid by Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy's family members on his 69th birth anniversary at Idupulapaya near here today. YSR Congress Party Honorary President YS Vijayamma, party President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's wife YS Bharati Reddy, sister YS Sharmila and EC Gangi Reddy were several family members reached Idupulapaya on Saturday evening itself to participate in special programmes organised to mark YSR Jayanti.

On Sunday morning, all the family members were seen paying homage to the people’s leader at the YSR Ghat. Later they held special prayers for departed soul. Former Kadapa MP YS Avinash Reddy, MLA Amzad Basha, YSRCP leaders Suresh Babu, Amarnath Reddy and Raghava Reddy were among leaders who paid their homage to Dr YSR.

Later, addressing the gathering YSRCP Honorary President YS Vijayamma said that people of the state were waiting for the return of the Rajanna Rajyam. "Just like Dr YSR, YS Jagan also understands the problems of the people and has full support of the people in the state," she said. On the occasion, a book written by YS Vijayamma 'Anudina Gnanavali' was released.
