Parimal Nathvani Thanks AP CM YS Jagan

HYDERABAD: Parimal Nathwani thanked Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy for nominating him as a Rajya Sabha candidate for the upcoming Rajya Sabha elections.

Parimal Nathvani took to twitter and said,”I sincerely thank Hon'ble Chief Minister Shri YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and his party for considering me as their Rajya Sabha candidate from Andhra Pradesh. I committed to serve the people of Andhra Pradesh".

He is the Group President, of Reliance Industries Limited and is a close aide of Mukesh Ambani. A two-time Rajya Sabha MP from Jharkhand, Parimal Nathwani is due to retire from the upper house of Parliament from Jharkhand on April 9. With Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy offering him a seat from AP, will pave way for Nathwani to get elected for the third term.

Recently, RIL Chairman Mukesh Ambani, accompanied by his son Anant and Parimal Nathwani had met Reddy at the latter's residence in Amaravati.

Nathwani was twice elected as Rajya Sabha MP from Jharkhand as an independent candidate, once in 2008 and then in 2014.

As Jharkhand Rajya Sabha MP, Nathwani had asked second highest number of questions in the Upper House during the first half of the Budget Session this year between January 31 and February 11.

YSR Congress Party on Monday announced the names of Mopidevi Venkatramana, Pilli Subhash Chandrabose, Alla Ayodhya Rami Reddy and Parimal Nathvani as its candidates for Rajya Sabha elections.
