Amaravati: Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief N Chandrababu Naidu who was hitherto silent about the series of allegations made against former speaker of Andhra Pradesh Assembly Kodela Siva Prasad, is now stating that Kodela died due to political vendetta and harassment. This can only be seen an attempt to politicise the former TDP leader's death, by claiming harassment, even after Kodela admitted to taking the Assembly furniture and the widespread allegations about the "K Tax" levied by his family members in Sattenapalli and Narasaraopeta constituencies and land grabbing.

Even when Kodela was facing corruption charges since the past three months, Chandrababu and the TDP leaders neither spoke in favour of the leader nor did they express their support to the leader publicly. However, right after his death they have sprung into action to come in his defence and are using it for political gains. This has left people and political circles appalled at this blatant behaviour.

What should be noted is that the same TDP leaders who never spoke in favour of Kodela are now crying hoarse about political vendetta.

The latest news now is that Chandrababu Naidu has demanded that the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) conduct an inquiry into the death of senior leader Kodela Siva Prasada Rao.

He described the former Speaker’s untimely death as “murder” committed by the government . Political analysts say that Chandrababu is adept in politicising any situation and converting it to his advantage and this is no different.
